You stand, moody, petulant,
Behind the scenes and yet unknown to you, in view of all.
The hands are in the pockets as you stare with unseeing eyes.
And then! The sunshine breaks.
I see you, dashing, charming.
Superficial perhaps, but with a certain naivety.
You do not know what to say but you say it nonetheless.
This I have seen in your eyes.
I have seen your very essence
And it has warmed me.
There is something awkward
Behind perfection lies a man who knows who he is
And shows it in so many different ways.
